Introduction of Persian Sports Club in “Role of Sport in Developing Peace” event in Geneva Peace Week

The city of Geneva is hosting international organizations from November 4th 2019 for one week in order to commemorate the Peace Week.

In this international gathering, Imam Ali Popular Students Relief Society, held an event named “Role of Sport in Developing Peace” for introduction of Persian Sports League.

International Unit of the Society organized this event and Society’s representatives in Europe executed it. Initially, the Society was introduced and its national and international activities were described. Then, different sports activities of the Society which take place under the name of Persian Sports Club were introduced and a report covering achievements of the club in reducing social harms and increasing solidarity between ethnicities and nationalities was presented. At the end, there was a Q&A, and discussion session around experiences, methods and future plans of the Persian Club.

It is worth mentioning that this event received positive feedback from peace activists all around the world.

Participants in this international event, wrote their messages on a soccer jersey to show their support for the Persian Sports Club.
