About Imam Ali Popular Students Relief Society

Introducing Imam Ali’s Popular Student Relief Society (IAPSRS) as an independent, non-political, and non-governmental organization. IAPSRS is one of the most prominent civil society organizations operating within Iran and the Middle East. Since 1999, IAPSRS has been involved in promoting social and economic justice by supporting over 7000 children and women in the marginalized and underrepresented regions through

Imam Ali Popular Students Relief Society [IAPSRS] is an international, non-governmental organization which started its activities in 1999.
The NGO earned special consultative status with Economic and Social Council of the United Nations in 2010 and general consultative status in 2018.

The IAPSRS provides a wide range of humanitarian services in Iran, Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan. This community aims to create a world based on peace and justice and is majorly concerned with the vulnerable groups specially the children. To this purpose, it supports 6100 children and 700 women, including IDPs and refugees suffered from war and people affected by social issues stem from different kinds of poverty.

This community was developed based on the theories of Sharmin Meymandinejad and it majorly believes in enhancing social participation and developing a new study of established traditions and ceremonies in order to develop social and economic conditions.
IAPSRS Members are more than 10000 volunteers that the majority of them are university students or graduates who have dedicated a part of their life and time to do humanitarian works.
All the expanses of relief activities of IAPSRS are provided by popular donors, private benefactors and micro donations by a large number of people and students.

Iranian Homes

The Iranian Homes are center to a large part of social works of Imam Ali Relief Society.
In Iranian Homes, the social workers can have direct communication with their supported ones and it gives them an opportunity to take great steps in developing the situation of vulnerable women and children by teaching them and by establishing practical solutions to their problems.
In Iranian Homes, a variety of services are offered including therapy, private and group-based consulting sessions as well as classes on academic subjects, art, culture and sport.
The IAPSRS currently has 33 Iranian Homes and 10 active branches in cities such as Tehran, Shiraz, Mashhad, Tabriz, Esfahan, Kerman, Bushehr, Kermanshah, Sari, Gorgan, Karaj and etc.
